Our Mission, Activities and Geographic Focus:
The mission of Fox Valley Lyrical Productions (originally Soirée Lyrique) is to create and nourish a greater appreciation of the classical vocal arts and to educate through professional performances and community outreach programs in Elgin and the Fox Valley area.
Fox Valley Lyrical Productions’ activities includes concerts of excerpts of arts songs, musical theater, sacred music, opera highlights with piano or chamber ensemble to fully staged opera productions with orchestra.
The organization prides itself on training, nurturing and launching young artists through its summer Young Artist Program & Vocal Competition – The Fox Valley Rising Stars!

Inaugural Season - 2015
Soiree Lyrique NFP incorporated on March 17, 2014 & received its tax exempt determination letter on October 7, 2014. For its inaugural season, Soirée Lyrique presented four events with professional singers: | ||

The Young Artist Program provided a five week of vocal and theatrical training to seventeen young singers; acting & staging classes with Amy Hutchison, an internationally acclaimed stage director; private coaching with professional opera singers Tetyana Torzhevska and Solange Sior, and participated in Master Classes presented by Eric Weimer, a thirty full seasons Assistant Conductor with Lyric Opera of Chicago. The program concluded with two exciting productions featuring seventeen singers and finalizing the winners of Soirée Lyrique’s first vocal competition with $2,150 of cash awards. | ||

*** Snuffy’s Villa is owned by Founder & Artistic Director Solange Sior. Bordering Snuffy’s Prairie in West Dundee, the 3 acres of landscape offers a great space for outdoor performances, Ravinia style. A golf cart offers transportation for patrons to the seating area if needed. Audience is welcome to bring chairs, blankets & picnic. The music room of 22’ X 26’ is a nice back up in case of rain & also a rehearsal space. This is an economical way to produce Soirée Lyrique’s events. **** | ||
